As all we do is for God's glory and Bethnal Green's good, we are a church open to and available to all of the people of Bethnal Green—those who call it home, whether for a short or long term; those who live elsewhere but love our corner of the city; and those just passing through. Yet there are also some specific groups below that we feel particularly called to reach and equipped to serve, so we ask all at St Peter’s to share in these missions and make room for these people.

We are a place where kids and young people can know God, in a way that we hope is deeper than us. We go at their pace and all join in with what they are doing, ensuring they have safe space and patient time. God has placed us all into family—not through our blood but through Jesus'—so we live lives of radical openness, connection, and trust across age groups, demographics, family situations, and backgrounds.

We are a church for those in a chapter of challenge or loneliness, offering a space to call home in the expanse of the city, without judgement or conditions. This is a place of solace, of sanctuary, of rest and restoration; when needed, it is a place of quiet. Jesus' way is unhurried, communal, and humble—we want to live city-dwelling lives that are sustainable and fruitful, and help others to do the same.

We are a church for the needy, giving away what we can, including our time, money, and resources. When we are given more through our community and generosity, we in turn are radical in our giving away. We have practical things to offer—food, warmth, support, and signposts to help. Yet, vitally, we have life to give through Christ: hope, purpose, joy, belonging, calling, and family. We will always offer both freely and fully, knowing that God has called us to love the poor in ways that will challenge culture and society.
